I don't feel too badly for them, prices were outrageously high before they started dropping. For cheap DDR2-800 with slow (5-5-5-15) timings, I paid $200 in 2006. Now I can get blazing fast DDR2-101035083508 for less than that. I feel no pity for RAM companies.
